What is NYES?
National Young Economists Summit (NYES) is a summit that provides a platform for participants to exchange and share their ideas and experience besides exposing the participants to the essence and insights of the specially selected themes. They will learn how to apply economic theories in real life as we provide an equal opportunity for students to develop skills throughout our specially designed challenges.
What are the activities that will be going on throughout NYES 2016?
The activities that participants will be going through in NYES includes talks, forum, and the 'M' Challenge, a specially designed stock market trading simulation challenge.
Where will NYES 2016 be held?
NYES 2016 will be held at the Faculty of Economics & Administration, University of Malaya.
When will NYES 2016 be held?
NYES will be held on 16th of January 2016 (Saturday).
Who can attend NYES 2016?
Students pursuing their studies in public or private pre-university courses, colleges or undergraduate studies are most encouraged to participate.
How much does it cost to participate in NYES 2016?
The registration is free! However, upon short-listed to attend NYES 2016, each participants are required to pay RM30/each*.
*RM30 for each full day participants, which include food throughout the day (16th January 2016) and a complimentary NYES 2016 shirt. Does not include accomodation.
Will food be provided during the event?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner will be provided.
Will transportation be provided during the event?
No transportation will be provided.
What is the event's dress code?
Participants are required to dress formally for the first half of the event. For the second half of the event (The 'M' Challenge), participants will need to change into smart casual manner while wearing the provided NYES 2016 shirt.
Will food be catered for vegetarians?
Yes, we have the option of vegetarian food. Please choose the option
‘Vegetarian’ under dietary requirements when you register.

The deadline to register for this event is on the 5th of December 2015.
